Terms and Conditions

CRSTWEB Website Terms and Conditions

Cornerstone Services, Inc. specializes exclusively in developing and maintaining WordPress websites, governed by our website terms and conditions. We provide support and site administration solely for the WordPress websites we build. We do not support, modify, administer, or offer services for websites created by other providers. Additionally, CRSTWEB  offer web hosting services as a separate service. The following Terms and Conditions govern our web development and hosting services.

Support Protocols & Business Hours

Our support team is here to help Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST (GMT-4), excluding major U.S. holidays.

For support inquiries, please email info@crst.net. Our internal policy ensures responses within one (1) hour. For urgent matters, call (845) 255-5722 to reach the CRST Customer Service Desk.

All customer inquiries via info@crst.net will receive a response within one (1) business day.

For support, billing, or website updates, CRST will contact you via email or phone. You may hear from Customer Service (info@crst.net) or Project Management (web@crst.net). We communicate strictly via email and phone. Our "2-2-2" policy ensures we:

  • Send two (2) emails,
  • Make two (2) phone calls,
  • Decide within two (2) weeks whether to resolve the matter internally if no response is received.

Each communication attempt will include a specific request requiring your response. We do not guarantee voicemails. If you acknowledge our outreach without addressing the request, we will consider it an invalid response.

All essential communications must be in writing. You must document any requests for past instruction reviews via email or written correspondence.

Service Commitments

We make reasonable, good-faith efforts to communicate effectively and provide website development, web hosting, and related services. We strive to meet the timelines set in the Estimate or by the CRST Customer Service and Project Management teams. However, all service dates are our best estimates and not guaranteed.

Customer Obligations

By engaging our services, you agree to these Website Terms and Conditions. Optimal outcomes arise from mutual cooperation and professionalism.

Web Development Protocols

Development begins once we receive all necessary website content and a minimum 50% down payment. We aim to finish website builds in 30-45 days, but timing depends on how quickly clients respond and approve changes.

Communication may include verbal discussions; however, clients must provide final approvals in writing via email. We provide a staging environment for private review before the site goes live. We will only make websites public with explicit written consent.

Domain Name Management

Cornerstone can acquire, administer, and manage your domain name, including transferring it from a third-party registrant if unused. Domain transfers may require direct client involvement. No domain acquisition or management occurs without written approval.

Additional domain names for URL redirection or future use are available at an extra cost. Premium domain names require advance payment. Annual domain registration fees are separate from web hosting and support services.

Web Hosting Environment

CRST develops WordPress websites within a secure hosting environment provided by 97 Teams (Wales, UK). We prioritize security and reliable development. However, we may not support certain features or utilities from other hosting providers if they pose security risks.

We regularly update plugins from a secure library. Requests for non-library plugins require vetting and may incur additional costs.

Website Content

Clients must provide original, legally owned content, such as images, graphics, videos, logos, vector art, illustrations, and custom fonts. Content procurement services (e.g., copywriting, image sourcing) are available in billable services.

Customers must provide content they own or create, ensuring it’s free from third-party trademark or copyright restrictions. When you submit your text, it should be final, not a draft requiring ongoing edits.

If your site needs third-party content, we’ll inform you of the costs, and you agree to cover them. All third-party software, plugins, images, and text are subject to their provider’s terms and fees, and you agree to comply with them.

Copywriting, Copywriting and Content Creation

Copywriting, copyediting, and content creation are not included in standard website builds and are available as billable services. To request an estimate, email info@crst.net. We offer these services exclusively for CRST-developed websites

Questionable or Prohibited Content

You may not post, or request us to post, prohibited or questionable content on your website. Prohibited or questionable content is an intentionally broad term wherein we may decide without your prior consultation that some content on your website is inappropriate or potentially harmful to yourself or others. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Copyrighted or trademarked materials used without authorization.
  • Malicious web links, malware, or viruses.
  • Pornographic, threatening, insensitive, or racially offensive content.
  • Excessively large files or unauthorized downloads.

If we determine that content violates our policies and website terms and condition, we reserve the right to remove or restrict such content without prior consultation.

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Policy

Our WordPress site construction follows industry-standard best practices to facilitate future search engine optimization (SEO). While we ensure that our website builds are "SEO-friendly" and structured for potential optimization, we do not guarantee specific SEO rankings, keyword completeness, or search visibility.

An "SEO-friendly" website refers to a foundation that supports SEO efforts but does not include dedicated SEO services. Comprehensive SEO services, including keyword research, content optimization, and performance tracking, are available separately and are not included in our standard website builds.

For clients seeking to improve search engine performance, we strongly recommend implementing a tailored SEO strategy immediately upon website launch to maximize results.

Email Services

Clients may have one or multiple email addresses associated with their domain name. We provide initial email setup assistance as part of our website development services. However, any additional or ongoing email setup, configuration, or administration after the website launch is a billable service under CRST Project Management hours.

We strongly recommend utilizing Google Workspace for professional email hosting due to its reliability and feature set. If you prefer to avoid the additional charges associated with Google Workspace, we can provide cPanel access for email management. However, by requesting cPanel access, you assume full responsibility for any issues arising from self-administration.

If you require support after encountering issues with cPanel email management, our assistance will be available at an hourly rate with no guaranteed time estimate. Given the overall cost-benefit analysis, we strongly recommend Google Workspace as the preferred email solution. Please note that we do not offer email management or administrative support outside of either Google Workspace or cPanel access.

Web Hosting Services

Our standard annual hosting package includes:

  • SSL Security
  • 2GB Disk Space
  • 100GB Monthly Bandwidth
  • Fully Integrated WordPress Environment
  • Access to No-Charge Default Library of PlugIns
  • Daily Backups
  • Email/Phone Support (M-F, 9-5, EST/GMT-4)

Please note that for many websites that have emails using the site domain (outside of a third-party service such as Google Workspace), 1 GB disk space will prove to be too small. Please if you need additional disk space, please contact the CRST Customer Service department at info@crst.net. If you run out of space, we will contact you via the described CRST Support Protocols described herein.

Confidentiality

The Customer agrees to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all Proprietary Materials disclosed by Cornerstone Services, Inc., as outlined in our website terms and conditions. Proprietary Materials include, but are not limited to, technical processes, methodologies, spreadsheets, maps, wizards, utilities, documentation, specifications, software, and any other confidential or non-public information developed or shared by Cornerstone Services, Inc. with the Customer, its employees, agents, vendors, consultants, or subcontractors.

The Customer shall ensure that its employees, officers, representatives, advisers, agents, contractors, or subcontractors who receive such Proprietary Materials also comply with this confidentiality requirement.

All Proprietary Materials remain the exclusive property of Cornerstone Services, Inc. and may not be used for any purpose other than as explicitly authorized by Cornerstone. Furthermore, Cornerstone retains the right to use its Proprietary Materials for other clients without prior consultation with the Customer. The Customer agrees not to copy, reproduce, repurpose, rename, modify, adapt, reverse engineer, or deconstruct any CRST web development code or service methodologies without explicit written permission.

As part of its service delivery, Cornerstone may disclose limited confidential details about the Customer to employees, officers, vendors, agents, representatives, advisers, or subcontractors who require such information to fulfill service obligations. Additionally, as required by law, court order, or regulatory authority, Cornerstone may share or surrender all or part of the Customer’s information in compliance with legal requirements.

Website Service Support Billing

We may address minor support requests for free at our discretion. Support requests needing a job ticket cost $100 per hour. Urgent requests may not require prepayment, but scheduled work may need advance payment. All invoices are due immediately upon receipt.

Non-Payment Protocol

All non-payment matters are handled per our website terms and conditions and CRST Support Protocols.. If you fail to respond appropriately to our outreach within five (5) business days, your account will be classified as delinquent, and your website maintenance, hosting, and other CRST web services may be subject to suspension.

Service Suspension & Termination

Non-payment for any reason may result in the suspension or termination of the following services:

  • Domain registration
  • Website hosting
  • Website maintenance
  • Other associated web services (e.g., email, shopping cart, or third-party integrations)

Failure to renew domain name registrations or other time-sensitive services due to non-payment may result in the permanent loss of these assets. If a domain name lapses, it may become publicly available for repurchase, and CRST is not responsible for any resulting loss or disruption.

If services are suspended or terminated due to non-payment, you, your agents, and your clients agree to hold Cornerstone Services, Inc. harmless for any inconvenience, business disruption, or damages—whether actual or perceived—arising from such a scenario.

Service Reinstatement

If you wish to reinstate your website, hosting, or other suspended services, CRST may, at its sole discretion, agree to restore some or all services under its website terms and conditions. Service reinstatement may incur billable programming or project management fees, which must be paid in advance. Additionally, all reinstatement efforts are provided on a best-effort basis, and CRST makes no guarantees regarding the recovery of lost data, domain names, or website functionality.

Payment Terms & Late Fees

Accounts in arrears will accrue interest at a rate of 18% per annum, compounded monthly. If an account remains unpaid for 30 days, a formal notice of non-payment will be sent via USPS First-Class Mail. If an account remains delinquent for 60 days, any domain names, website code, or digital property held by CRST on your behalf will become the property of Cornerstone Services, Inc. until all outstanding balances—including accrued interest and penalties—are settled in full.

Legal & Financial Obligations

CRST is not obligated to comply with any court orders or legal actions attempting to maintain website or hosting services without full payment. Our services are provided exclusively to the Customer, and the essential nature of these services does not exempt the Customer from financial responsibility.

If there is a change in ownership or control of your organization, this does not affect your financial obligations to CRST, nor does it alter your agreement to the Website Terms and Conditions outlined herein.

By engaging our services, you acknowledge and accept this Non-Payment Policy as a binding agreement between you and Cornerstone Services, Inc.

Liability & Indemnification

The Customer acknowledges and agrees that Cornerstone Services, Inc., along with its employees, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors, shall have limited liability concerning all services provided, including but not limited to web development, web hosting, domain registration, and other related web services.

Under no circumstances shall Cornerstone Services, Inc. be held liable for:

  • Direct, indirect, or consequential damages, including but not limited to anticipated profit loss, business opportunity loss, or accounting-related damages (e.g., goodwill depreciation).
  • Loss of contracts or bid opportunities due to service availability, technical issues, or project timelines.
  • Software damages, data corruption, or data breaches resulting from third-party interference or system vulnerabilities.
  • Time loss or downtime caused by service interruptions, maintenance, or unforeseen technical issues.
  • Any other incidental or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use CRST services.

Indemnification

The Customer agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cornerstone Services, Inc. from any and all damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses—including legal fees—arising from:

  • Any work, direct or indirect, performed between Cornerstone Services, Inc. and the Customer.
  • Claims, disputes, or legal actions initiated by the Customer’s agents, employees, vendors, or clients.
  • Any allegations of privacy breaches, intellectual property infringement, or copyright violations related to website content provided by the Customer.
  • Any legal proceedings or judgments imposed upon the Customer that are unrelated to the direct actions or obligations of Cornerstone Services, Inc..

Customer Responsibility

The Customer is solely responsible for all website content published under their domain. The Customer assumes full liability for any legal or regulatory issues resulting from:

  • Infringement of third-party intellectual property rights.
  • Breach of privacy laws due to improper handling of user data.
  • Unauthorized use of copyrighted or trademarked materials.

By engaging in services with Cornerstone Services, Inc., the Customer acknowledges and accepts this Limitation of Liability & Indemnification Policy as a binding agreement.

Termination of Services

Either party may terminate web development support and/or services with reasonable advance notice, provided there are no outstanding payment obligations. If you choose to transfer your domain name and website to a third-party provider, we will facilitate the transition without additional charges, provided the process is cooperative, reasonable, and without complications.

You retain ownership of your WordPress site code, which will be professionally packaged and delivered to you in a compressed format. However, you acknowledge that certain plugins and functionalities used within our hosting environment may not be compatible or operational outside of our infrastructure.

Once your website has been removed from our hosted environment or is no longer under our direct management, CRST will not provide further support or maintenance for the transferred site.

Force Majeure

Cornerstone Services, Inc. shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in fulfilling its commitments to the Customer due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, as stated in our website terms and conditions. These include but are not limited to strikes, lockouts, or workforce disputes (whether involving CRST employees or third parties), economic crises or financial market instability, internet or network failures, extreme weather conditions or natural disasters (acts of God), civil unrest, acts of terrorism, sabotage, compliance with any law, governmental order, regulation, or directive, accidents, server failures, or unexpected loss of vendor support.

In the event of such occurrences, CRST will make reasonable efforts to resume services as soon as practicable but shall not be liable for any resulting delays or service disruptions.

Additional Provisions

CRST includes a "built by" statement and CRST logo on each website it constructs. You acknowledge and agree that CRST may showcase public information and images related to your website, domain name, and web services on its own platforms, including crst.net, donerightmail.com, and politicalmailing.us, as a demonstration of its work. If you need to send written correspondence, our mailing address is 31 South Ohioville Road, New Paltz, NY 12561.
